Protective Styles Regimen Guide for Under Weave Care

What is a hair weave?
Traditionally weaves are made on a fabric weft. They are called a Weft Weave. The weft has strands of hair sewn to it. The the hair that is attached to the weft comes in a variety of textures and colors. The strip of weave hair is called a track or a weft. The hair weft is then sewn on a patterned cornrow base that is braided onto one's scalp. Sometimes a person's natural hair is left outside of the tracks to cover/hide the tracks. Hair is usually left out around the hairline, nape area and at the top of the head to blend into the weaved style, sometimes no natural hair is left out.

Since weaves were introduced, professional stylist have created many ways to apply loose hair to one's style. The techniques range from Interlock weaves, Tree Braids, etc. No matter the method used to have your weave style installed, you must protect and care for the hair underneath to maintain its strength, elasticity and beauty. Also creating and maintaining a healthy scalp will encourage better hair growth. Here are the Taliah Waajid Protective Styles products that will help.
